Learning for the SDGs is a free 3-part course designed for GTCS registered teachers and early years practitioners in Scotland.
The Sustainable Development Goals – also known as SDGs – are designed to bring people together to improve life around the world. Created by the United Nations, they are a set of common goals to help us overcome global challenges like poverty, inequality and climate change.
SDGs have a huge part to play in today’s classrooms. As a blueprint for making the world a better place, these goals can help engage young people and inform lesson plans. This 3-part session will support teachers in developing their confidence, knowledge, and skills to bring the 17 UN SDGs alive in the classroom and beyond, while making strong links to Curriculum for Excellence throughout.
