OWC staff now working from home

Due to Coronavirus, the One World Centre is taking precautions and our office will be closed for the immediate future. We will however hold forthcoming CLPL sessions and events online where possible.  We apologise for any inconvenience.  We will reassess this position as the situation changes.

In the meantime, staff are working from home and will be happy to advise remotely on queries relating to the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms programme, ideas and resources for homework tasks, and looking to the future, developing classroom topics for next academic year. Sadly, infectious diseases are a common global problem which kill millions of people every year. You may wish to explore the topic and encourage children and young people to come up with their own solutions. If you have a partner school in the global south, the learning around this (relating to Sustainable Development Goal 3, Good Health) could be shared with them online as a collaborative project.  For inspiration and lesson plans, see the Practical Action website - https://practicalaction.org/schools/stop-the-spread/
