Read, Write, Think – a Philosophical Enquiry Approach to Global Citizenship

A three-part course incorporating literacy skills to help teachers work through the process of philosophical enquiry.

Next session: Wednesdays 07 and 21 November and 05 December 2018, 4.00 - 5.30pm at One World Centre, Dundee

The course has been created around two publications for children by Arun Gandhi: ‘Grandfather Gandhi’, which explores the topic of anger, and ‘Be the Change’, which passes on Mahatma Gandhi’s wisdom about how we should value and share the world’s resources. The course will introduce the stories and take teachers through lesson plans which they can then use in the classroom, using Philosophy for Children methodologies. The third session gives teachers the opportunity to reflect on their practice, and share any other stories which explore Global Citizenship themes.

If you would like us to come and run this course as a free twilight or in-service session for your cluster or school, please get in touch.
