It is intended that participants will:

  • Be equipped to challenge some of the myths and negative stereotypes of refugees and asylum seekers often portrayed in the media
  • Learn about research relating to the symptoms displayed by victims of trauma
  • Be introduced to the Inter-Professional Planning Framework for the identification and addressing of refugees’ needs

A joint initiative of Dundee University and the One World Centre in Dundee, the workshop will be co-led by Clare Fulton and Sally Romilly, Global Learning Advisers from the One World Centre. Sally and Clare will present ideas and activities which can be used in schools and community settings to support an investigative approach to the issue in a participative way.
